While the Grand Tactician's Early Access is coming to an end, and the game will be released in Full on September 24, , the game's development will not stop there. During the Early Access a lot of new feature ideas arose, and we want to improve the game further, adding many of these new features in the game, for free!
The recent patches has been big ones, and the Early Access period will come to an end soon. There are still a couple of larger features we're working on, in addition to the road map topics and the constantly ongoing bug fixes. Let's take a look at the main campaign feature still in development.

The game, developed by our small and dedicated team of Engineers is available in Early Access. The game will be released in full on September 24, Grand Tactician: The Civil War is a real time strategy game, where you will run your nation, muster, manage and support great armies, and maneuver them to defeat the enemy. Once the opposing armies meet, command your troops to victory in battles fought on historical battlefields. Choose your side in the American Civil War: Real-time campaign, spanning from Secession to the end of the war, with historical objectives for both sides.
Change history: What if European superpowers intervened to end the war, or Lincoln lost the presidential election of ? From Fort Sumter to Appomattox: Watch closely the morale of your citizens and troops. As the war drags on, fervour turns to fatigue, the treasury threatens to run dry, and measures like drafting will cause unrest. Keep the armies marching: Build and manage the flow of supplies to your armies. Utilize and expand railroad lines to supply and move armies for the first time in history!
Pivotal battles: Fight battles lasting multiple days on historical battlefields. Your generals will try to fulfill your orders, although "no plan survives contact with the enemy".
Detach skirmishers to send them to scout those hills ahead. Dismount the cavalry to become less visible to the enemy or mount for fast flanking charges and supply raids. Supplies are extremely important and you have to plan and defend the provisions otherwise the battle might end for you early.
You will face a strong enemy. AI will flank you, will hit your weak spots and undefended high ground, will chase and cut your supplies and will try to destroy unguarded artillery batteries.
AI will use terrain and will take cover and retreat if overwhelmed. Trenches, lines, fences, houses, fields — everything can help to achieve victory, if you know how to use it. Hills will allow you to see enemy units earlier. Rivers and bridges can become natural obstacles that will help you to defend. Forests can help you hide your movements and flank the enemy. More than 60 researched and recreated regiments all supporting uniforms for all ranks Private to Colonel and player classes.
More than 15 historically accurate skirmish areas of the Battle of Antietam to play on as well as two drill camps to perfect your formation forming abilities or simply exchange battle stories at the campfire. A strong company player organized clans focus with a dedicated company tool and forum sections devoted to in-game event creation.
War of Rights is a vision that keeps expanding its scale. The project is entirely crowdfunded and has been developed on for the past 6 years. We consider it more of an ever evolving artistic piece rather than a final product with a targeted release deadline with set features.

Additionally, players will also be able to choose from a list of regiments that fought in each battle as well as what rank to fight as, whether they want to slog it out as a lowly private, or if you want to orchestrate the carnage and mayhem as a major general.
